CLASSIFICATION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSE VALVES
ORDINARY ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSE VALVE
A PULSE VALVE REFERS TO A TYPE OF VALVE THAT, WHEN A MOMENTARY ELECTRICAL SIGNAL IS GIVEN, THE AIRFLOW PASSING THROUGH IT BEHAVES LIKE A PULSE PHENOMENON, WITH BRIEF FLUCTUATIONS. HENCE, IT IS CALLED A PULSE VALVE. THE ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSE VALVE AS DEFINED BY INDUSTRY STANDARDS IS AN ELECTROMAGNETIC PILOT VALVE COMBINED WITH A PULSE NETWORK, CONTROLLED BY AN ELECTRICAL SIGNAL AND FEATURING A DIAPHRAGM VALVE.
1. CLASSIFICATION OF ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSE VALVES
PULSE VALVES ARE THE EXECUTIVE MECHANISM AND KEY COMPONENT OF PULSE JET CLEANING SYSTEMS. THEY ARE MAINLY DIVIDED INTO THREE TYPES: RIGHT-ANGLE TYPE, SUBMERGED TYPE, AND STRAIGHT-THROUGH TYPE. EACH TYPE HAS VARIOUS SPECIFICATIONS, WITH THE CONNECTION PORT RANGING FROM 20 TO 114 MM (0.75 TO 4 INCHES). RIGHT-ANGLE AND STRAIGHT-THROUGH ELECTROMAGNETIC PULSE VALVES HAVE A WORKING PRESSURE OF 0.4 TO 0.6 MPA, WHILE SUBMERGED VALVES HAVE A PRESSURE OF 0.2 TO 0.6 MPA.

THE CHARACTERISTIC OF A RIGHT-ANGLE PULSE VALVE IS THAT THE AIR INLET AND OUTLET PIPES OF THE VALVE FORM A 90° RIGHT ANGLE, HENCE IT IS CALLED A RIGHT-ANGLE VALVE. THE CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE OF A RIGHT-ANGLE PULSE VALVE ARE SHOWN IN FIGURE 4-24. AS CAN BE SEEN FROM THE FIGURE, THE UPWARD-ARCHING DIAPHRAGM INSIDE THE VALVE DIVIDES THE PULSE VALVE INTO TWO GAS CHAMBERS. WHEN COMPRESSED AIR IS CONNECTED, THE COMPRESSED AIR PASSES THROUGH THE THROTTLING HOLE INTO THE REAR GAS CHAMBER. AT THIS TIME, THE PRESSURE IN THE REAR GAS CHAMBER WILL MAKE THE DIAPHRAGM CLOSELY ADHERE TO THE OUTPUT PORT OF THE VALVE, AND THE PULSE VALVE IS IN A "CLOSED" STATE.
