THE STRUCTURE AND WORKING PRINCIPLE OF SUBMERGED PULSE VALVES

1) CONSTRUCTION AND WORKING PRINCIPLE OF SUBMERGED PULSE VALVE

THE SUBMERGED PULSE VALVE ADOPTS THE INSTALLATION METHOD OF BEING SUBMERGED IN THE AIR TANK. THEREFORE, IT IS A SUBMERGED TYPE. THE CONSTRUCTION AND APPEARANCE OF THE SUBMERGED PULSE VALVE ARE SHOWN IN FIGURE 4-25. COMPARED WITH OTHER STRUCTURAL FORMS, IT REDUCES THE FLOW RESISTANCE IN THE CHANNEL AND LOWERS THE PRESSURE OF THE BLOWING AIR SOURCE. THUS, IT IS SUITABLE FOR LOW-PRESSURE SITUATIONS AND CAN REDUCE ENERGY CONSUMPTION AND EXTEND THE LIFESPAN OF THE DIAPHRAGM.

THE WORKING PRINCIPLE OF THE SUBMERGED PULSE VALVE IS THAT THE DIAPHRAGM DIVIDES THE PULSE VALVE INTO TWO CHAMBERS, THE FRONT AND THE REAR. WHEN COMPRESSED AIR IS CONNECTED, THE COMPRESSED AIR PASSES THROUGH THE THROTTLING HOLE INTO THE REAR CHAMBER. AT THIS TIME, THE PRESSURE IN THE REAR CHAMBER WILL MAKE THE DIAPHRAGM CLOSELY ADHERE TO THE OUTPUT PORT OF THE VALVE, AND THE PULSE VALVE IS IN A "CLOSED" STATE.

WHEN THE ELECTRICAL SIGNAL FROM THE PULSE CONTROLLER CAUSES THE ARMATURE OF THE PULSE VALVE TO MOVE, THE EXHAUST HOLE OF THE REAR CHAMBER OPENS, AND THE PRESSURE IN THE REAR CHAMBER RAPIDLY DROPS. THE DIAPHRAGM MOVES, AND THE COMPRESSED AIR IS BLOWN THROUGH THE VALVE OUTPUT PORT, AND THE PULSE VALVE IS IN AN "OPEN" STATE. AT THIS MOMENT, A BURST OF COMPRESSED AIR FLOW OCCURS.

WHEN THE ELECTRICAL SIGNAL FROM THE PULSE CONTROLLER DISAPPEARS, THE ARMATURE OF THE PULSE VALVE RETURNS TO ITS ORIGINAL POSITION, THE EXHAUST HOLE OF THE REAR CHAMBER CLOSES, AND THE PRESSURE IN THE REAR CHAMBER INCREASES, CAUSING THE DIAPHRAGM TO CLOSELY ADHERE TO THE VALVE OUTLET. THE PULSE VALVE IS AGAIN IN A "CLOSED" STATE.

2) CONSTRUCTION AND WORKING PRINCIPLE OF STRAIGHT-THROUGH PULSE VALVE

THE CONSTRUCTION FEATURE OF THE STRAIGHT-THROUGH PULSE VALVE IS THAT THE CENTER LINES OF THE AIR INLET AND OUTLET ARE ON A STRAIGHT LINE, SO IT IS CALLED A STRAIGHT-THROUGH VALVE. THE DIAPHRAGM OF THE PULSE VALVE DIVIDES THE PULSE VALVE INTO TWO CHAMBERS, THE FRONT AND THE REAR. WHEN COMPRESSED AIR IS CONNECTED, THE PULSE VALVE IS IN A CLOSED STATE. THE OPERATING PRINCIPLE IS THE SAME AS THAT OF THE RIGHT-ANGLE VALVE, EXCEPT FOR THE DIRECTION OF THE AIRFLOW. THE ADVANTAGE OF THE STRAIGHT-THROUGH PULSE VALVE IS THAT IT IS EASY TO INSTALL AND CAN BE USED IN AIR BOX PULSE DUST COLLECTORS. THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE RESISTANCE IS RELATIVELY HIGH WHEN THE AIRFLOW PASSES THROUGH THE VALVE BODY.
