  1.As environmental regulations in the industrial sector become increasingly stringent, bag filters have become the core equipment for dust control in industries such as cement, metallurgy, chemicals and waste incineration. As a key filtration consumable, the quality of filter bag maintenance and operation directly affects dust removal efficiency, compliance with emission standards and a company’s operational costs. Industry O&M experts point out that issues faced by most enterprises—such as premature filter bag failure, clogging due to dust caking, and emissions exceeding regulatory limits—all stem from non-standard daily maintenance practices; regular, meticulous maintenance is key to ensuring the long-term, stable operation of the equipment.

  2.It is reported that filter bags, when subjected to complex operating conditions characterised by high temperatures, high humidity and acid-alkali corrosion over extended periods, are prone to faults such as fibre wear, dust caking, high-temperature ablation and chemical corrosion. Enterprises must establish a routine inspection mechanism; by monitoring equipment pressure differentials and observing exhaust gas conditions, they can swiftly identify potential hazards such as filter bag damage, air leaks, condensation and abnormal dust-cleaning operations, and promptly isolate and treat faulty compartments to prevent further damage.

  3.During routine maintenance, particular attention must be paid to the maintenance of the pulse-jet cleaning air supply. This involves regularly draining accumulated water from air receivers and replacing oil-water separator filter elements to ensure the cleanliness of the cleaning air supply, thereby preventing filter bag clogging and dust caking at source. At the same time, pulse-jet cleaning parameters should be scientifically adjusted in accordance with the characteristics of the dust and the flue gas conditions to balance cleaning effectiveness with filter bag protection, avoiding excessive abrasion or the solidification of accumulated dust.

  4.Enterprises must carry out monthly in-depth inspections to check for filter bag wear, carbonisation and corrosion, whilst simultaneously inspecting cage frames and bag-mouth sealing components. Ageing or deformed parts should be replaced promptly, and accumulated dust inside the equipment cleared to prevent secondary contamination. For special operating conditions such as high temperatures, corrosion, flammable and explosive environments, or high humidity, specific protective measures must be implemented, with suitable filter media selected and inspection frequencies increased.

  5.Industry experts indicate that standardising filter bag installation, removal and storage procedures, and maintaining operational and maintenance records, can effectively extend the service life of filter bags by more than 30 per cent. A standardised and meticulous filter bag operation and maintenance model not only helps enterprises consistently meet environmental protection standards but also effectively reduces the costs of consumable replacement and equipment maintenance, thereby laying a solid foundation for green, low-carbon industrial production.
