The KR939SB3 Three-Parameter Combination Probe is a versatile monitoring device designed for cooling tower fan safety monitoring systems. It integrates oil level, temperature, and vibration measurement functions into a single compact unit, enabling comprehensive condition monitoring of fan gearboxes.

It can be connected to various general-purpose dual-mode instruments or computer data acquisition and control systems (DCS, PLC, etc.).

Features

The KR939SB3 combines temperature sensing, oil level detection, vibration monitoring, signal processing, and signal transmission within one integrated device.

Measures oil temperature using a platinum resistance temperature sensor and integrated semiconductor circuits.

Detects oil level through capacitive sensing technology.

Acquires mechanical vibration acceleration signals using a built-in vibration sensor.

Incorporates signal filtering, RMS conversion, and signal conditioning for accurate measurement output.

Provides standard 4–20 mA current outputs for temperature, oil level, and vibration parameters.

Compatible with a wide range of industrial monitoring and control systems.

Compact design for simplified installation and reduced wiring requirements.

Operating Principle

The vibration signal is processed through band-pass filtering and RMS conversion to obtain reliable vibration values within the effective frequency range. 

The temperature, oil level, and vibration measurements are then converted into standard 4–20 mA output signals for transmission to monitoring and control systems.

2. Data Analysis

3. Alarm and Protection

When measured values exceed preset thresholds, the monitoring system can generate warning or alarm signals to support timely maintenance actions.

4. Maintenance Management

Perform periodic inspection and maintenance of the probe to ensure reliable long-term operation. Monitoring data can be used to support condition-based maintenance planning and improve equipment reliability.
